Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SkillsHub.Network ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, authors, and promoters of the Platform.

2. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account using a supported OAuth provider (currently GitHub). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate information and promptly update it if it changes. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

3. Marketplace Rules

For Buyers: When you purchase a skill, you receive a license to use that skill as described on its listing page. You may not redistribute, resell, or share purchased skills unless the skill's license explicitly permits it.

For Sellers: By publishing a skill, you represent that you have the right to distribute it and that it does not infringe on any third-party rights. You agree to provide accurate descriptions and to maintain your skills in working condition. You must respond to buyer inquiries in a timely manner.

4. Payments & Refunds

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Prices are displayed in USD. The Platform charges a 20% platform fee on each sale; authors receive 80% of the sale price. Payouts to authors are processed through Stripe Connect.

Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. If a skill does not function as described, you may request a refund by contacting us within 14 days of purchase. We reserve the right to deny refund requests that we determine to be abusive or fraudulent.

5. Intellectual Property

Authors retain full ownership of the skills they publish on the Platform. By publishing a skill, you grant SkillsHub a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, distribute, and promote your skill on the Platform. This license terminates when you remove your skill from the Platform.

The SkillsHub name, logo, and other branding are the property of SkillsHub.Network. You may not use our branding without prior written consent.

6. Prohibited Content

You may not publish or distribute skills that:

• Contain malware, viruses, or other malicious code
• Attempt to exfiltrate user data or credentials
• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Infringe on third-party intellectual property rights
• Contain deceptive or misleading functionality
• Perform actions not disclosed in the skill description
• Contain illegal or harmful content

We reserve the right to remove any skill and suspend any account that violates these rules without prior notice.

7. Security Review

All skills submitted to the Platform undergo a multi-layer security review process, including automated malware scanning and AI-powered code analysis. While we make reasonable efforts to identify malicious or unsafe skills, we do not guarantee that all security issues will be detected. The security review is provided as-is and should not be considered a complete security certification.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SkillsHub.Network and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Platform or any skill obtained through the Platform.

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. You may delete your account at any time through your dashboard settings. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution) will survive.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, through the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
